About MAW
MAW Jewellery Design is a boutique jewellery wholesaler based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Each jewellery piece has been made by hand, resulting in unique and one-of-a-kind treasures.
Focusing on natural & unique gemstones, designs by MAW are made to be loved and adored throughout the years, with jewellery pieces that stand the test of time, both in durability and timelessness.
Behind the Brand
Each piece is designed and made by Melissa, who has been in love with making jewellery for as long as she can remember. Her pieces are understated and timeless, situated at the intersection of modern and traditional design.
Melissa’s fascination with jewellery design began as a child, where she loved tinkering in the shed on projects with her Dad Peter. This later grew into a more serious pursuit when she went on to study Jewellery making at RMIT in Melbourne. After completing her Bachelors degree, Melissa began working with one of Melbourne’s most reputable jewellers, and later going her own way making custom pieces for clients and other local jewellers.
She relocated to the Sunshine Coast several years later, where she now works from her studio in the peaceful Noosa Valley.
